Here are completed pics of the Purple Edition BadBat VW Drag Bus! I only did TWO of these. They are hand signed and numbered underside of body. Smoothed noses…multilayer candy purple flames on lower sides with silver high metallic and black graphics coated with a dusting of pearl flake…reeeeally pops! Will have actylic case with custom graphics!
Just put the last layer of flames (4 total) on this 1 of 1 VW drag Bus! Needs details and it will be ready for clear. 100% Paint btw with BlackCherry Pearl HW logo and two tone side/nose flames! Coming soon!
This beauty has several subtle fades with multiple colors and layers of candy and pearl colors. Tribal flames on top, nose, and sides. Multilayer candy pagan gold traditional flames on lower sides. One of one with detailed lights and logo. RRs up front with sanded tread rears. All with white letter Goodyears!

This last VW DragBus had some very minor paint defects that I cannot get out, so it either strip it down and start over (which not likely to happen)

The imperfections do not detract from the overall look of the bus. Everything looks like the rest except a few ultra tiny specks on the sides, near flames. If I didnt tell you about them..you likely would never even notice, because they are that minor. However, I strive for perfect finishes, like the top and rest of the bus turned out. But again I hate to strip it for these minor issues…so keep watching for start time. I will send it to our newsletter subscribers first, then post on the Hot Toy Cars blog and social media pages within an hour of start time.
I dont know if it will go as soon as it listed or remain available for several days?..but the other two sets sold quickly..and THIS is the LAST ONE…so you never can tell.
Fresh Tribal Flame designs tested out on this one. Has multiple colors of candy and pearls, and some multilayer flames nestled in the middle of roof tribal licks.
Fades from Tangelo Pearl to Tangerine Candy over pearl silver on sides. Top goes from light purple to medium blue candy, to Cobalt Blue candy.
I may be adding some more flames …still mulling it over..we will see. 😉
Well I just couldnt wait any longer to show this one off! Plus I just finished up the very detailed custom chassis..lol
The bus (except the BadBat logo on top.) Is ALL PAINT! One of one…candy blue and pearl blue two tone with custom mixed pearl silver flames. Also you might notice the side flames are shadowed which is also hand painted. Top is same design as the regular editions but is done with custom mixed silver pearl with fade and details to tribal bat of light charcoal. This is also the only bus in the series with vw logo on nose.
The chassis….well first it was HEAVILY POLISHED. The large exhaust brace was chopped up leaving a much smaller realistic brace. Notice you can see through all the way at rear of engine. This left an unsightly gap which was filled with epoxy and molded/sanded to the contours of the transmission housing. Looks much better! All three exhausts were drilled out and polished. Details abound on engine and chassis. Plus its riding on blue chrome 5sp.wheels, with silver stripe real riders…leveled..to lowest possible height and fronts narrowed (chassis) to ride inside body. Thought I would post another process shot of these Badbat buses. This shows the masking done on them. Pretty intricate really. The wing and lower sides are left exposed for more color. I also added some fresh tribal FlameMasks after this. Keep watching for your opportunity to grab one of these special sets!
